Meat and Poultry Licensing Information
The 2026 license renewal applications will be mailed out in November. Renewals must be postmarked by January 15, 2026, to avoid late fees.
If you have questions about licensing, renewal applications, or the status of a submitted application, please contact our office at (785) 564-6776.
Licensing requirements vary based on the type of operation you run and who your customers are. If your business performs multiple activities, you may need more than one license, registration, or inspection.

All licenses are issued on a calendar-year basis (January 1–December 31).
