License fees are based on a warehouse’s overall capacity and its number of functional units. A functional unit is defined as “a public warehouse which has the capacity to store grain” and is separated from the licensed warehouse by some distance.

Functional Units

  • Licensed unit: No charge
  • Each addition unit: $500 per unit

Amendment Fees

  • Any time a license is amended (capacity, name change, etc.): $300 per occurrence

Special Examinations

(Also used for original or accelerated exams)

  • $50 per hour with a minimum of four hours charged
  • Mileage at a rate of 51 cents per mile both ways
  • Motel cost at actual rate
  • Per diem at a rate of $43 a day

Late Fees

Any time an application or supporting documents are not received 30 days prior to the expiration of a license, the license holder is assessed a $5 per day penalty.
