Animal Health Board

The Kansas Animal Health Advisory Board, appointed by the governor, serves in an advisory capacity to the Animal Health Commissioner, aiding the commissioner in determining policies and plans relating to the Division of Animal Health.

The regular meeting of the Animal Health Advisory Board will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. via Zoom. Contact Dr. Justin Smith, Animal Health Commissioner, at Justin.Smith@ks.gov with any questions or to have a link to access the meeting.

Pet Animal Advisory Board

The Kansas Pet Animal Advisory Board is appointed by the governor to review the status, and make recommendations to the Animal Facilities Inspection program especially in regard to the Kansas Pet Animal Act.

The next meeting will be held on March 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
