The following material covers the latest information on the upcoming U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Veterinary Feed Directive regulation, which goes into effect January 1, 2017. The information is provided as guidance based on current understanding of the FDA regulation and will be updated as new information becomes available. Information on VFD for feed mills and distributors can be found in the educational modules at ksubci.org. Specific questions can be asked of your local Kanas Department of Agriculture inspector or to Jamie Spencer, at Jamie.Spencer@ks.gov or directly to FDA at AskCVM@fda.hhs.gov.
