Kansas Specialty Crop Industry Conference

In partnership with industry, the Kansas Department of Agriculture is hosting a statewide conference focused on the business and production aspects of specialty crops in Kansas. The conference will be an educational event for specialty crop growers and stakeholders to gather, network, and grow in knowledge.

Beginning Grower Support Program
Through a Beginning Farmer/Rancher Development Program Grant, the Kansas Specialty Crop Growers Association is partnering with K-State Extension and Growing Growers in a statewide beginning grower support program — offering new growers in Kansas and western Missouri stipends for registration and travel associated with participation in networking and direct (in-person and live interactive online) training experiences that can enhance opportunities for success.

Eligible recipients can receive up to $500.00 reimbursement for registration costs, mileage, and lodging.
