The Kansas Department of Agriculture hosted Club Agtech, an Argentine inbound trade team, for a visit to Kansas beef operations and research institutions in mid-August. The delegation engaged with producers, processors and academic experts to learn more about the U.S. beef sector and explore opportunities for collaboration between Argentina and Kansas.

They also visited Rezac Land and Livestock in Onaga, a diversified family farming and ranching operation in the Flint Hills that is using cutting-edge technology, and Meatworks of Kansas in Riley, where they observed beef processing and value-added product development.

In addition to producer visits, the group met with multiple Kansas State University faculty members who shared expertise on critical topics such as an overview of U.S. beef production, advancements through the Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics (ID3A), and the future of digitalization and precision livestock management. These sessions highlighted the role of technology and data in shaping a more efficient, sustainable beef industry.

Supporting all facets of agriculture is central to KDA’s mission, including facilitating opportunities for producers to market and sell livestock genetics both domestically and internationally.
